Con motivo del estreno en España de la película "Notorious" , quiero rendir tributo a este gran mc que nos dejó tantos buenos temas y que en su corta trayectoria por su fatal asesinato logró hacerse un hueco en el hall of fame de todos los tiempos. Qué mejor manera de rendir tributo que remezclando una selección de 5 temas contando con la inigualable ayuda de samples de otro gran genio de todos los tiempos como es Stevie Wonder. Ese es el concepto del trabajo que os presento "The B.I.G. Wonder", mi tributo a los que para mi son dos de los más grandes. El tracklist es el siguiente:

With the Spanish premiere of the film "Notorious" , I would like to pay tribute to a great MC who left us so many terrific songs and was inducted into the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame in spite of a career cut short by a fatal assassination. I cannot find a better way to pay him homage than by remixing a selection of 5 songs with the help of theincomparable samples of another unparalleled genius, Stevie Wonder. This is the concept I present with "The BIG Wonder", my tribute to these artists who for me are two of the greatest of all time. The tracklist is as follows:

El proyecto DAME1MINUTO se basa en que bajo una misma raiz (una serie de 7 beats mios de un minuto de duracion) 25 mcs han dado su interpretación, su mensaje y su flow en uno de ellos, mostrando asi como de un mismo beat pueden nacer innumerables ideas. El proyecto tuvo gran acogida en myspace y en medios
especializados, consiguiendo gran numero de visitas y de descargas. Participaron mcs de toda España tanto de nivel editado (SFDK, El Limite, Puto Largo de Dogma Crew, Jesuly, Sr Zambrana, Shinoflow…) como reconocidos pesos pesados del underground (Jotandjota, A3Bandas, Piezas, Ferran..).

 

The Dame1Minuto (Give Me 1 Minute) project is based on an assortment of seven original one-minute beats and 25 rappers doing their own interpretation of one of them. By bringing their message and flow to the selected instrumental, they show us how one beat can give birth to countless ideas. The project was very well received in myspace and in other Spanish hip hop websites, receiving a lot of visits and downloads. Signed and unsigned rappers from all over Spain were involved in the project.

Fui miembro de este grupo desde que se creo en 2001 hasta antes de editar su primer elepe en 2004. Me encargue de todos los beats, grabacion, mezcla y mastering de las 2 maquetas y el maxi que edito/publico Universal Music Spain. En el elepe tambien tienen instrumentales mias y me encargue de la mezcla y el mastering.

 

I was a member of this group from 2001 to 2004, shortly before they released their first album. I was the sound engineer, making all the beats and doing the recording, mixing and mastering of all the songs that came out on two demo tapes and a maxi-single that was launched by Universal Music Spain, a major label. I also did the instrumentals, as well as the mixing and mastering for the album itself.

He sido uno de los miembros de DeAlma, uno de los primeros grupos de rnb español con presencia en internet, sacando maqueta oficial en el 2004 y particpando activamente en el crecimiento de la escena rnb en España.

 

I’m also part of DeAlma, one of the first Spanish RnB groups to get on the internet. We released an official demo in 2004 and we’ve played an active part in the growth of the RnB scene in Spain ever since.
